Vanilla Bean Gelato with Limoncello
Mark and his DeLonghi Gelato Machine
3/4 cup of milk
2/3 cup of cream
3/4 cup sugar
5 egg yolks
1 vanilla bean
1 satsuma or other favorite fruit
1 bottle Yvelise Meyer Limoncello
Beat the eggs yolks in a separate bowl and add to it half of a cup of the sugar, mix. In another bowl, mix the cream, milk and remaining 1/4 cup of sugar. Slice open vanilla bean and scrape seeds into the cream/milk mixture and add the beaten eggs. Pour entire contents into gelato machine and compress for 30 minutes. Serve in bowl with fruit and top it with a shot Yvelise Limoncello.
*If unequipped with gelato machine, replace all but the last sentence in Directions with: Go to store, buy favorite vanilla bean ice cream. Then continue.
